Lathrop GPM Completes Move to New Kansas City Office

Lathrop GPM announced it has completed its move to a new Kansas City office space near Crown Center.

The 47,000-square-foot Crown Center office is now the new home of approximately 100 lawyers and 95 staff and is the firm’s largest location. The new location is at 2323 Grand Boulevard. The 2323 Grand building sits adjacent to Washington Square Park and the proposed location of the new Kansas City Royals ballpark district. 

Lathrop’s new office reflects the firm’s hybrid model of open seating with private, assigned workspaces. The model is implemented across the firm’s Boston, Chicago, Denver, Minneapolis, St. Cloud and St. Louis offices. Additionally, Lathrop’s San Jose and Washington, D.C. offices are expected to transition to this model later in the year, according to a release.

“The legal profession continues to evolve, and our workplace should evolve with it,” Ben Struby, Partner in Charge of the firm’s Kansas City office, said in the release. “This office was thoughtfully designed to support a variety of work styles. It creates an environment where people feel supported, included and empowered to do their best work while giving us the flexibility to meet our clients’ needs wherever they are.”

Lathrop’s office space is located on the seventh and eighth floors. The office features eight conference rooms, private offices, open workspaces and a cafe.

“We’ve been part of this market for more than 150 years and continue to invest in our relationships and opportunities,” Cameron Garrison, Lathrop Managing Partner, said in the release.

Lathrop’s Kansas City division previously occupied its office at 2345 Grand, located in the building just south of its new office.
