The Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kansas, planning commission has approved the final plans for a new 149-unit apartment complex near the University of Kansas Medical Center.

The rezoning request was for the Woodside Village Rosedale development. The project is being developed by Tanner & White Properties Inc. and Block Real Estate Services LLC and will be at 4601 Rainbow Boulevard.

Final plans for Woodside Village Rosedale include a 7-story, 149-unit apartment building on a 1.89-acre site. Additionally, an internal parking garage connecting to West 46th Avenue at 4601 Rainbow Boulevard will be constructed.

The space is located south of the KU Med. The Woodside Village Rosedale development would become a part of a family of existing buildings in the area. The new project would be located adjacent to the Woodside Village North and would be connected to the Woodside club and fitness gym, located along West 46th Avenue.

The UG first changed the zone from a C-1 Limited Business and R-1(B) Single Family Districts to RP-6 Planned Highrise Apartment District on January 26, 2023.

Hufft is the architect for the project, and Olsson is the civil engineer, according to UG documents.
