Texas engineering firm Pape-Dawson announced it has acquired Overland Park-based BHC and officially has launched the company’s Midwest region division.
Founded in 1992 by founders Kevin Honomichl, Bill Brungardt, and Matt Brungardt, BHC specializes in telecommunications and offers engineering solutions for the delivery of critical connectivity and data infrastructure. The firm’s client base is represented in the fields of telecom, public works, development, surveying, construction services, and landscape architecture.
The acquisition bolsters Pape-Dawson’s Midwest footprint and establishes the Overland Park office as the headquarters for the regional market. BHC’s leadership team and staff will continue to operate from the Kansas City area, serving existing clients while leveraging the broader capabilities of Pape-Dawson’s national network, according to a Monday release.
BHC also operates additional office locations in Kansas City, Wichita, El Dorado, and Kensington.
“Joining Pape-Dawson allows us to maintain the relationships, culture, and local leadership our clients value, while gaining access to expanded resources, technology, and multidisciplinary expertise,” Kevin Honomichl, President of BHC, said in the release. “This next chapter creates new opportunities for our employees and enhances the services we provide.”
Founded in 1965, Pape-Dawson offers engineering and consulting services. It entered the Kansas City region through its 2025 acquisition of Coffman Associates, a national aviation planning firm.
