Hunt Midwest Makes New Executive Role, Heather Jones Joins as General Counsel, SVP

Hunt Midwest announced it had hired Heather Jones as general counsel and senior vice president.

Jones’s role was newly created as the real estate development company continues its growth. ones will work to scale the company’s strategies and staff to support its expanding reach across diverse sectors, including industrial, commercial, self-storage development, new home communities, multifamily and senior living, according to a release.

Over the next 9 to 12 months, Jones will also assume responsibility for the company’s administrative functions, including human resources and corporate communications.

Before joining Hunt Midwest, Jones served for over 20 years as a partner, shareholder, and executive committee member with the Kansas City law firm Seigfreid Bingham, P.C. During her time at Seigfreid Bingham, Jones served as Hunt Midwest’s outside legal counsel on key development projects, leases, property sales, and land acquisitions.

Headquartered in Kansas City, Hunt Midwest is a real estate company with more than $3 billion in its development portfolio. The company has more than 52 million square feet of industrial development completed or planned in its establishments. Hunt Midwest’s climate-controlled self-storage platform, StorTropolis, operates over 4,000 units at six locations in the KC metro with plans to expand into the Southeast this year.
