The Shawnee City Council has voted to extend the construction timeline for Westbrook Green, a new shopping center planned for the area.

Westbrook Green, formally known as Westbrook Village, is located at the northeast corner of 75th Street and Quivira Road. Project developer Westbrooke Partners, LLC, had a deadline of January 31, 2026, to complete the second phase improvements for the project. However, the deadline was extended to July 31 during the Shawnee City Council meeting on Monday.

A significant portion of the work required for phase two of Westbrook Green has been completed or is nearing completion, according to city documents.

Phase two contains approximately 96,286 square feet of a mix of retail, restaurant, and commercial spaces, as well as improvements to parking, sidewalks, outside dining, and pedestrian connections.

Phase three of the project would include plans to demolish or renovate a series of buildings on site at the discretion of the developer.
