Children’s Mercy Hires New Chief Compliance Officer

Kansas City-based Children’s Mercy has appointed Abby Jackson to the role of chief compliance officer, having previously worked at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

Jackson confirmed her new role in a LinkedIn post on December 30, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer at Children’s Mercy!”

Most recently, Jackson served as the assistant vice president of compliance and privacy operations as well as privacy officer at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Additionally, she served as chief compliance officer for Southwestern Health Resources, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Earlier this month, Overland Park planning commissioners approved the final development plan for an expansion project at the Children’s Mercy Overland Park campus. In October, Children’s Mercy appointed Dr. Michelle Wimes as the hospital’s permanent chief people officer.
