A six-story, 100,000-square-foot office building in Kansas City has been purchased by A to Z Theatrical Supply & Service, Inc.

The office building, located at 1734 E. 63rd St., was sold by an Omaha, Nebraska-based seller, according to a release from Block & Company, Inc. Block & Company’s Dakota Grizzle and Garrett Cohoon represented the seller.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

The building had a sale price of $1.5 million, according to a Block & Company PDF of the property. The building is situated on a 3.4-acre lot and has approximately 339 parking stalls in a three-level covered parking garage. Additionally, the building was erected in 1972 with renovations done in 1985.

A to Z also has an existing location at 800 E Meyer Boulevard, which is in proximity to its newly acquired building, at just 4 minutes away. The company sells and rents costumes, lighting, props, and production design.

The company was founded in 1959 by Dick McGehee. McGehee passed away in 2013 before the company was acquired by the current owner, Alex Perry. Perry purchased A to Z’s location at 800 E Meyer Boulevard in 2014.

A to Z also operates locations in Wichita and Milwaukee, with over 100,000 square feet of costumes, makeup, theatrical supplies, and props.
