Bobby Olm-Shipman Named New President of Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City

Saint Luke’s Health System has promoted Bobby Olm-Shipman to president of Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City.

Olm-Shipman will begin his new role effective Feb. 1, according to a release. He is succeeding Jani Johnson, who announced her retirement earlier this year after nearly 40 years of service with Saint Luke’s. Olm-Shipman currently serves as president of Saint Luke’s South and East Region, which includes Saint Luke’s East Hospital, Saint Luke’s South Hospital, and Saint Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute.

Olm-Shipman joined Saint Luke’s in 2003. Before his current role, he served as CEO of Saint Luke’s South Hospital, with oversight of the former Saint Luke’s Cushing Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas, as well as vice president of strategic planning and head of the project management office.

As part og his new role, Olm-Shipman will also provide leadership and oversight to Saint Luke’s Hospital Crittenton Children’s Center, Saint Luke’s Bishop Spencer Place, and Saint Luke’s research and medical education programs.

The health system said it is in the process of searching for Olm-Shipman’s successor as president of Saint Luke’s South Hospital and Saint Luke’s East Hospital, accoridng to the release.

Earlier this month, Saint Luke’s became the new official health care provider and team care provider for Sporting KC as it prepares to enter the 2026 Major League Soccer season.
