“Westward, Ho!” for Expansion in Lee’s Summit

According to the Lee’s Summit Economic Development Council, the west side of town could be the site of new development projects totaling some $500 million. The proposed development projects in Lee Summit’s View High corridor include more than 300 acres of mixed-use, multifamily, senior housing and retail investment projects.

 Economic Development Council president, Rick McDowell said, “This new residential, retail and restaurant development is expected to drive future population trends in Lee’s Summit. We believe this is not only a very exciting development story, but also an exciting growth story for the City of Lee’s Summit.”
