"A WHOLE LOT OF SCIENCE GOING ON" Just a few years ago, no one anywhere would have thought of Kansas City as a "life sciences center" or even as having the potential to be one. For that matter, the typical Kansas City civic leader had no particular idea of what the term "life sciences" even meant or implied. All that has changed. Indeed, so dramatic has been the change that life sciences has emerged locally as something of a model on how to define and position a given industry. At an Ingram's sponsored luncheon on April 23rd, at the impressively user-friendly Children's Mercy Hospital, a diverse group of local life science industry leaders gathered to assess progress to date.
