KANSAS CITY, MO – The Guadalupe Centers continues to bring to the community its Cinco de Mayo Fiesta for its 26th consecutive year! This fundraiser not only benefits programs, but it continues to be neighborhood tradition that originated in 1922, making it the original Cinco de Mayo Fiesta in Kansas City! During this two-day event, families can enjoy local and out of state entertainment, mariachis, folkloric dancers, food trucks, kid’s rides, booths, contests, raffles and much more, including a 5K run/walk!

Cinco de Mayo Fiesta Schedule 

Concert/Dance – Friday, May 5, 2017

This years concert will have a variety of entertainment beginning at 5pm Mariachi Mexico will take the stage, followed by Banda Tequila at 6pm and closing the night will be local group, La InKontenible Sonora. Admission is free.

“5 de Mayo 5Que” Run/Walk and Cinco de Mayo Fiesta – Saturday, May 6th, 2017

On Saturday join us for our Annual 5Qué Run/Walk along Southwest Boulevard starting at 9am; individuals, teams of 5, children and seniors are welcome. To sign up go to www.cincodemayo5que.com, the Fiesta continues immediately following the race at 11am to 10pm featuring Los Lobos (wristbands for concert will be sold at $5 during the fiesta). Enjoy a day filled with food, folkloric dancers, local entertainment, vendors, inflatables/rides, raffles, contests, art and much more.

On the stage we will have the following entertainment:

3pm – 4pm            | Mariachi Mexico

5pm – 7pm            | Steele Road band

7pm – 8pm            | Mariachi Mexico

8pm – 11pm          | Los Lobos

 The Guadalupe Centers was established in 1919 and is the longest continuously operating organization serving Latinos in the United States. Today, Guadalupe Centers is a multi service community-based not for profit corporation. Guadalupe Centers is a United Way agency and is the original NCLR affiliate for the Kansas City Metropolitan area.
