University of Kansas Hospital to Break Ground on New Facility in Overland Park

KU Indian Creek-Rendering2

The University of Kansas Hospital will break ground on a new $100 million facility in Overland Park on Wednesday afternoon, one that will add operating rooms and inpatient rooms, imaging operations and patient amenities.

The expansion of the hospital’s Indian Creek Campus near Interstate 435 and Nall Avenue, the hospital said in a news release, will help meet patient demand for additional procedures at that site, including sports medicine, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, ENT and cancer surgery.  Interventional radiology, pain management and G-I services are also offered there.

This particular expansion is significant because the Indian Creek facility is the only location, outside the 759-bed main hospital campus in Wyandotte county, where the hospital has ever located inpatient beds along with outpatient and clinic services.
