Missouri’s Private Employers Up More Than 8,700

The Missouri Department of Economic Development says the state added 8, 742 private sector employers between 2014 and 2015. Over that same period, 18,342 new businesses were formed in the state

“Our low taxes, competitive business incentives, top-notch talent, access to resources and high quality of life,’ said Economic Development Department director, Mike Downing, “make it the perfect location for businesses to thrive.”

Downing’s department also reported that Missouri businesses added nearly 51,800 employees in 2015.
