Multiple KC Companies Listed as a Best Employer in America

In a list of just 500 mid-size employers nationwide, Kansas City-based Lockton made the cut as one of the Best Employers in America according to Forbes.  This is the third straight year that Lockton has made the list, this year coming in at #162.

“This is an extraordinary honor to again be named by Forbes as one of America’s Best Employers,” said Peter Clune, Lockton’s U.S. president and chief operating officer. “The Forbes recognition is particulary special because it is based on feedback from our Associates and others within our industry. Our goal is to be the absolute best place for our Associates to build a career. This accolade affirms that we continue to create a culture where our Associates thrive.”

HNTB ranked #13 on the list of mid-size Best Employers.  HNTB is a design and engineering company comprised of four individual firms: HNTB Corporation, HNTB Architecture, HNTB Federal Service Corporation, and HNTB International. There are 60 locations throughout the US that collectively specialize in transportation, airport, and sports arena projects.

Commerce Bancshares was #68 while FerrelGas came in at #355.

According to Forbes’ site, this is how they determined their findings:

“Statista surveyed 30,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 1,000 employees. All the surveys were anonymous, allowing participants to openly share their opinions. The respondents were asked to rate, on a scale of zero to 10, how likely they’d be to recommend their employer to others. Statista then asked respondents to nominate organizations in industries outside their own.”
