Kansas City Company Nationally Ranked as Great Place to Work

Today Fortune along with Great Place to Work released their rankings of the 2018 Best Workplaces in the Consulting and Professional Services with Kansas City-based Burns & McDonnell coming in at number eight.  Burns & McDonnell was also the only Kansas City company to make the list.

Great Place to Work is a research and consulting firm and for this ranking they surveyed responses from more than 51,000 epmployees.  

“Leaders with other companies have asked me what we do to consistently be a great place to work,” says Ray Kowalik, chairman and CEO, Burns & McDonnell. “They ask it like it’s an idea or a benefit. We approach our work with one simple question: How would you make your decisions if you owned the company?”  He continued,  “Being a 100 percent employee-owned company has created our foundation to being a great workplace.
