Children’s Mercy and Olathe Medical Team Up

Children’s Mercy Hospital and Olathe Medical Center say they will work together on providing enhanced pediatric services for Southwest Johnson County and surrounding areas. The solution is expected to take the form of a new facility at Olathe Medical Park.

Randall L. O’Donnell, PhD, President and Chief Executive Officer of Children’s Mercy, said “We are delighted by this opportunity to work alongside Olathe Medical to bring additional pediatric specialty services to the area.”

The announcement comes as a new Olathe Medical Center obstetrics wing is under construction. The wing will include a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit as well as the latest technology and amenities for labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum care.
